Autopilot wanders in heading mode--GPS mode OK

In GPS mode, my autopilot does very well. When I am in heading mode, it wanders around. Is there a way to change the settings for heading mode only?

There isn't. But, often, if HDG mode isn't working well, there is a fundamental heading measurement issue that is causing the autopilot to not fly the airplane perfectly. It could be that your magnetic heading needs calibration, the magnetometer has installation-related magnetic interference, etc. If heading isn't moving in step with the aircraft, look in that direction first.
