averaging some engine data

Hello,

It would be great to add the option of a few second average on displayed fuel flow and CHT data. My fuel flow wanders by a few tenths of a gallon and the CHTs bounce around by 5-10 degrees. It's a little distracting and annoying and I think it would be easily solved by averaging a few seconds of data.

Thanks,
Scott

Both of these already have 1+ second filters. You're seeing the result of filtering out even larger changes. For the CHT's to bounce 10 degrees likely requires a data change of 50+ degrees.

Most installs don't have these issues, and can easily settle on a 1 degree CHT and 0.1GPH fuel flow. I'd want to investigate where that noise is coming from before trying to filter it out.

Could also be a general grounding or power connection problem. The first graph below has a loose alternator connection. The second graph is after it was fixed. Much smoother EGT readings.
