HI Guys,

Searched here and not a lot of info on Avmap EKP-IV and Dynons, so I would like to ask here:
(Considering the Avmap GPS is the same price as a garmin 296, but with a much bigger and higher resolution screen, almost matching the Dynon physical dimensions, it would seem as a good choice and match for a Dynon Panel)

1) Have you managed to succesfully integrate your Avmap EKP-IV to your Dynon?
2) What functions are not available in this integration.

Thank you in advance.
Regards
Rudi

I'd hazard a guess and say it'll work...

From the Avmap EKB IV user manual:
"The Output NMEA0183 messages are the following: APA, APB, BOD,
BWC, GGA, GSA, GSV, GLL, HSC, RMA, RMB, RMC, VTG, WCV, XTE"

This includes the route info, the current heading, groundspeed and autopilot info (both A and B formats), magnetic deviation and much more...

I can confirm that it works perfectly with a AvMap EKP IV.

The only thing we hade to change in the EKP was the north reference and the NMEA parts to send.

We installed the connection according to the description in the AvMap and Dynon manuals.
1 wire extra from the D 120 to the EKP-serial cable.

We also use the EKP serial plug to upload flight plans from Jeppesen Flight Star.
