Tried to complete my first SkyView Backup Battery test so the warning message would go away on my PFD and MFD (2 screens). Completed the test per the instructions on both screens, but the both insist that the test has not been completed (still have the warning message). I noticed that the last test date displayed is 2013 . . . interesting, since this is the first test I've run on the backup batteries and the whole system is only 3 years old. So my questions are:

1) What did I do wrong that causes SkyView to not recognize that I've completed the test (they both passed according to the screen)?
2) Is there a system date somewhere in SkyView that needs to be set? (I'm not finding it in the latest manuals).

What do LAST BATTERY SHUTDOWN and TEST RESULT indicate?

Last battery shutdown was normal. Test result was PASS, but dated 10-13-2018 (sorry date was wrong in previous post), which is probably the factory date. Battery status is 12.14 V and CHARGED. Battery life is > 45 minutes.

Everything looks good, except the date of last test.

The only thing I can think of that could cause it to not store the current time is if the doesn't have the current time/date, which is fundamentally provided by GPS,

Download your data logs. The first part of the filenames should have the current system date, and that will tell you if the system has the proper date.

My Skyview system was purchased in 2014 with the back up battery and put in service in 2016. Today I did the yearly test for the battery and again the test was successful. Final voltage 10.45. Not a bad service life going on 11 years.
