Hi Dynon Support

2 days ago I installed the Dynon backup battery, I have a single 10" Skyview display which was working fine after upgrading to 3.2

When I installed the backup battery 2 days ago everything booted up fine, I powered the display up and down a few times as I am still doing panel wiring and there where no issues.

When I came back to start doing more work the next morning, I could not get the display to boot, I got nothing but a black screen. I tried several times to get the system to boot by powering up and down with the same result. After I disconnected the backup battery the system booted up fine.

I re-installed the backup battery and everything booted up fine, but if I leave it overnight I can get it to boot?

The previous day (the day I installed the backup battery), I also had the main battery on charge until it showed fully charged.

Looking at the Dynon system screen the backup battery status shows as OK with a voltage of 12.7V

I am puzzled, can you provide any advice?

Regards,
Eddie

So 12.7 is high for the battery, and that in itself indicates something up with SkyView and its ability to charge.

We'd like to see your display and battery if possible. Give our tech support a call at 425-402-0433 or an email at support at dynonavionics dot com. Please mention this forum thread when you do.
