DYNON SUPPORT:
I am hesitant to ask this but will take a shot anyway.
Love the Dynon system in my RV-8A. We're now building a Zenith 801 that will only occasionally see the inside of a cloud. The plan is for a D100, HS34, AP74 and EMS D10 for the engine. Through the DSAB we can duplicate the flight instruments on the D10 display.
My question is this: of the known failure modes regarding the D-100, what are the odds of having the screen go blank but the box still providing all flight info to be displayed on the EMS D10? In other words, if a D-100 goes kaput, is it normally just the screen that fails or some internal component that kills the six pack data in the process? Mine in the RV has never had a problem so I don't know from first hand experience and am not sure if you are willing to talk about this!
