Hello,

I just purchased a D100 and a 120 from ACspruce. Picked them up in America, and brought them back to France. I powered them up prior beginning the installation of the whole system, and I have a blue pixel on the efis, and 2 small red ones on the ems!

gloups....

Can you describe the quality checks and the level of defects above which you reject LCDs?

Regards.

We do a basic look at each LCD and if we see a broken pixel, we replace the LCD. But with something like this a human is involved and things like that can be missed. It is also possible for problems to develop on a pixel after the product ships. All manufacturers of LCDs, including ours, allow some bad pixels so an LCD with 2 bad pixels still meets the spec.

However, we know that when you spend money on a product like ours you expect there to be no bad pixels and that is why we try to catch this issue in production and also warrant it in the field. Also, this problem is very uncommon with our particular displays. The fact that you got bad pixels on both is very odd, since it doesn't happen very often.

All that said, we'd be happy to replace yours. We have your email, and I'll reply to you shortly.

Hello,

I got the 2 instruments back in Europe, with new LCDs, and all is perfect. The service time was pretty quick! Thanks for this.

Regards,

:)
