If you lose electrical power from the main aircraft battery and and the SV is getting it's power from the "backup" it would be nice to know how much time we have left on that battery. There is currently no warning that the backup battery is being used or how much time (capacity) there is left in the battery.

That would be a great help.

Agreed. We have that on the to-do list already, though I can't say for sure when it will show up.

Do note that you can't end up on backup battery without a notification. When power drops and we switch to battery, we bring up a message. If you are on the ground, this is a countdown message. If you are in flight, it's just a notification.

It doesn't stick once you clear it, but you do have to acknowledge it, so you do know. If power comes back and then dissappears, it will re-appear.

I should know that it provides notification, I wasn't thinking about flight vs. shutdown. :-[

I was thinking about the battery getting low and how it would react. If the aircraft battery were draining and finally got below the SV threshold the SV would go to its battery and give notification. If this was the only thing running on the aircraft battery is it possible for the it to come above the threshold again and then SV start to use the aircraft systems again. Creating a loop of on/off/on?

Can you share how would that work in flight and how has testing seen the process work?
