Can I use a Radio Shack AC adapter that outputs 12v at 1 amp as a bench power supply for my D10A when I update the firmware/checklists/etc. It looks like 1 amp will be enough.
Also, do I need to have the EDC connected while updating the firmware?
Thanks for putting up with a newbie :-/

The power supply might work, but it may not be able to handle the surge when the D10A turns on. No harm in trying.

You do need the EDC hooked up when updating the software.

I used a laptop adapter with a few more volts & amps. The Dynon unit is good from 12-28v, so a typical 18v laptop adapter should have plenty of oomph for your EFIS.
