WE are installing a SV-D700 with a SVADHRS-200, SV-EMS-220,SV-259GPS and SV-Bat-320 In a Super Cub, Experimental. After reading the installation manual it was unclear to me as to how to interface the Garmin GTX 327 transponder. We do not have an a blind altitude encoder as a Technician at Aircraft Spruce said the encoder was built into the Skyview unit and we didn't need one. I personally feel we need a blind encoder for altitude reporting and wonder if you can help me out with this installation. Do we need another harness and encoder for this installation?

Thanks,

Dave

The simple answer - it's in the install manual - it's also annoying to have people expect an answer when they don't even RTM first. Let us answer real issues. ::)

FWIW

How can we get the message across - ALWAYS get the LATEST VERSION of an Install Manual of any avionics JUST BEFORE you actually do the wiring - DO NOT rely on what is supplied as it may be out of date already.

It could save you some time and frustration ;)

A man after my own heart. I have read and reread the manual and found a lot of things that need to be underlined. Questions I have answered on line are in the manual. So if you plan on picking up an EFIS down the road then go ahead and download the current manual and start reading. Become an expert before you own the screen.
