Is it possible to use a bluetooth adapter to stream music from an iPhone through Skyview either through the intercom or Com radio? IF so, what bluetooth adapter would you recommend?

See http://www.vx-aviation.com/sprocket/audio.htm

This tells you exactly how to connect bluetooth into a stereo intercom system.  The example shown originally shows how to use the SkyView for USB power, but this proved to be a bit noisy, so i added a separate USB port with regulated power.  The cost of the Bluetooth adapter was $4 from Hong Kong, but you can get one from Vancouver for $8 a lot faster.

The passive mixer that is detailed on the web works fine.  It also shows the new USB regulator.

BONUS. It also shows how to provide an interface for a wired cellphone or iPhone.  A Bluetooth cellphone interface is in the works.

The Dynon intercom has music inputs on both the front and the back. You can put a bluetooth audio adapter into these inputs with no external devices needed.

While we haven't used any of these, anything like the following products should work (actually I use the first one in my car and like it):

An update on this topic.  I have verified a bluetooth adapter that will support both phone and music.  The adaptor needs hardware modifications for aircraft use, and I will detail this once I clear away my backlog of other number one priorities.

For those of us who use helmets, bluetooth phone operation is a convenience. The adapter I tested supports iPhones and other phones, plus all types of tablets. It has a small control panel, but it's not necessary to have it accessable if the phone is handy.

It also seems more immune to power noise, so the SkyView USB port can power it directly, if desired.

Watch this space. Here's the updated link with all of the details: http://www.vx-aviation.com/sprocket/audio.htm

Although I used a PS Engineering intercom, this will work just as well or better with the Dynon intercom. Just for reference, this whole Bluetooth audio system can be built for less than $25, depending on if you want music only or cell phone+music.
