I can't say that is the best of ideas. The EGT's are very low voltage, and the spark is going to induce a lot of noise in the wire. Theoretically it should be canceled out, but maybe not in reality.
If it's a huge advantage when you are wiring, you can try it out, but there is a chance it might cause you problems.
