Button 1 and 3 freeze

My setup is SV-10" with GPS, EMS and ADHARS, battery backup

I noticed a week ago that button 1 (from left) did not respond when showing off my new toy, but did not make much of it, was perfect on next power up.

During the week did the same and this morning again at the holding point.

Despite several restarts it did not correct itself.

I also noticed that it was not only button 1 but 3 as well.

Running latest firmware.

Any ideas what to do?

According to page 3-5 of the User Guide button one is used to power off the SV. I am not sure at this moment as to the use of button 3.

Yes, one of the problems, cannot power up the unit.

When powered up from master switch the buttons have different functions in different screens.

Button 3 activates the PFD screen.

Suspect a hardware failure.

When pushing the button do you get a distinctive snap? Does this snap feel the same on button 1 as it does on the ones that are working?

Yes, the button feel and sound is the same as all others.

Do the buttons work consistently when you go into the set-up menu?

So button one will only power up the display if there's either a backup battery connected, or of master power is being applied and you've turned it off. If neither of those things are the case (sounda like it, probably), it's sounding like this might be a hardware issue. Give our tech support team a call at 425-402-0433 or support at dynonavionics dot com so that they can help make sure this is the case.

I would try unhooking the back-up battery and see what happens. The battery can do some strange things to the SV. :

I did a reboot (but 1,2,5) and it was fine then.

Have not flown since, but will report back.

My problem is back.

The No 1 abd 3 Buttons does not function after start-up and Reboot twice did not fix the problem.

Left if for about an hour and retried. No success.

Any suggestions?

I think there's something electrically intermittent in your display. Give us a call at 425-402-0433 or an email at support at dynonavionics dot com so we can set up a return authorization to have a look at it.

I received a re-manufactured unit from Dynon last week, installed and all is now100%.

Thank you to Dynon for the service.

Now to tweak the unit to my liking.
