"C" type inputs

Can you please confirm that the EMS only has three inputs capable of handling sensors that drive a 0-5V output?  My plans include MAP, OP, two G axis and three capacitive fuel level "active" sensors which are not of Dynon origin (the fuel levels will probably be Dynon but the others will likely be Kavlico and Crossbow).

What are the internal configurations for the "A" style inputs?  Are they pulled to 5V via an internal pull up?  If so, what size is the pull up and can it be "driven" continually?  Are there any means to disconnect the internal pull up via software (or hardware for that matter) such that "A" inputs can be used with active output sensors?

Thanks in advance for the help.

We already support MAP on it's own pin, which is basically a 0-5V pin with no pull-up. So in a sense you have 4 inputs. Is there a reason you don't want to use our MAP?

As for the other inputs- All of the 13 EMS GP inputs have programmable pull-up resistors. However, only on the 3 C inputs can you turn off the pull-ups completely. On the A and B pins you can only choose 200, 1K, or 10K pull-ups, not "none."

You can run 0V into the 5V pull-up for as long as you want. However, many active circuits can only source current, not sink it. Thus they cannot pull against the 5V pull up and the system will read 5V all the time. If you know your circuit can sink current, then it should work on any of the 13 inputs.

You need to read the wiki on making your own sensors, it will make many of your options clear:

I had started reading the Wiki page on sensors back when I asked about custom sensors but stopped when I realized it could be done (waiting to finish until it was time to actually make use of the knowledge).  Had I gone further, I would have seen the programmable pull up nature of the EMS and that would have answered my question.

I will look into the output stage of the sensors I am using and see if they will drive a 10K load.

Do your cap to voltage converters have an output stage that will drive a 10K load to 5V?

Thank You.
