My mag heading deviates from N by about 10 degrees to the East but has not had the mag deviation or calibration process completed. Is this error within the range of compensation? If not. how many of deviation can be compensated for?
If not calibrated, the compass can be way off. 10 degrees is an easy amount for the cal process to fix. You really need to cal the compass before you'll have any idea how accurate it can be.
