Can the EMS display a input voltage?

The B&C alternator has a 12 volt light output to indicate the Alternator is offline. Can the Skyview EMS accept this 12 volt signal and display it similar to a contact signal? If so what pin is recommended.

Thank you

There are several ways of getting the alt offline warning, the wire out is a 'ground' for the intended warning light. 1. use the light - nothing like a bright light to get your attention. 2. Set the EMS volt alarm to just below the normal regulated charge volts 3. Like you said, use a contact - however this 'warning' is not as obvious as a light IMO.

This should work, but you may need to put a 100 ohm resistor between the output and ground, so the EMS sees ground when the 12V line doesn't have power on it.
