Capacitance Fuel Senders

Can someone provide step by step instructions for installing capacitance type fuel senders (instead of the resistive type). I've tried to follow the (very brief) instructions in the Installation Manual but can't find the capacitance Widgets after deleting the so called resistive Widgets.
Current setup is:
Skyview with Jabiru 3300 EMS pre configuration file
Princeton capacitance fuel sender units.
I understand that I need to use Pins 8, 22 or 31 (Enhanced GP input) but how exactly do I map the capacitance senders to these pins and where do I find the Widgets?
Thanks

I installed the Princeton capacitive fuel probe and while I don't recall the procedure exactly, you need to map the sensor to the pin in the SETUP MENU > EMS SETUP > SENSOR INPUT MAPPING before the WIDGET will appear in the SCREEN LAYOUT EDITOR. See page 7-42 of Installation manual.

In the SENSOR INPUT MAPPING, the function will be LEVEL, not sure what the sensor type is, FUEL LEVEL (CAPACITIVE)? and the name can be anything you want, (eg LEFT, RIGHT, MAIN, etc.).

Once you have done the pin mapping and screen layout, the last thing to do is calibrate the tanks. SETUP MENU > HARDWARE CALIBRATION > EMS CALIBRATION. If you have the advanced probe you only have to do the Dynon calibration. Otherwise you may have to do the Princeton setpoint calibration before the Dynon calibration which means filling the tanks twice.

The widgets are the same for any kind of fuel probe. We don't have capacitive widgets or resistive widgets. The widget is fuel level, no matter where it comes from.

What you need to do is hook the capcitive gauges to one of the pins 8, 22, or 31 as you mentioned.

Then go into sensor input mapping, and select "level" for the Function. Now you will have "Fuel Level (Capacitive)" as the sender. Then give it the name you want.

Now go into the screen layout editor, and you'll have "left level" or "main level" or whatever you named the tanks.

Under hardware calibration and EMS calibration you will also have fuel level cal.

Thanks, all worked fine once the correct pins (22 and 31 in my case) were allocated.

Regarding the princton converters..do they connect to the bnc on the fuel tanks..same as the dynon the converters.

I see. I already have the vans plates installed in the tanks. Perhaps I will call Princeton on this question.
