Carb temp probe reads high

I have a carb temp probe with one white wire and one white/black wire.

Hooked up without the 5vdv pullup resister, per the installation instructions.

Cold engine, ambient temps in 60's, the temp displayed is 110? It displays a higher temp if I blow warm air on it.

Confirm that you have neither the 5V line connected or any resistor installed.

With power to the EMS off and at ambient temperature, what is the resistance across the two wires? Please also report the exact temperature.
