Cautions after updating single Skyview HDX from 17.4 to 17.5

I loaded the newest software this morning. Here is what I had and it was working fine: SkyView_17_4_0_US_Package_HDX1100_hwv4_Apr_16.duc
And, this is what I uploaded. It took a long time compared to previous updates. SkyView_17_5_0_US_Package_HDX1100_hwv4_May_14.duc. Now, I have the cautions listed in the picture below. I tried shutting everything down and reloading the same 17.5 update and it went faster, but the same cautions remain. Any ideas? I am considering just reinstalling the 17.4 version, but am looking for advice on how to address these cautions.

Do you have more than one Skyview? Sounds like you don't. Bit if you do, they both have to be individually updated. Is the network setup showing all the units that are supposed to be there? Did you restart all the other units after updating the Skyview? They may not update until you do that. But if they don't show in the network setup, they won't do anything.

Thanks Rhino. I only have one unit. And, I think I didn't have the other units like the autopilot on during the setup like I usually do. So, I think I will head back out to the hangar later and reset everything, then load the old software, then try to correctly load the new one. I think that might reset everything. Will report back later.

Well, I can upload the previous and new versions of the software, but nothing removes the cautions. The autopilot does not work and I can't access radio functions from the skyview panel. the radios work fine by themselves. I flew VFR around the local flagpole today and things are OK, just want it all to work. I downloaded the diagnostic file and sent an email to Dynon support for assistance. I'm not sure how it works, but it looks like those two functions on the Skyview panel aren't talking to their individual modules. Maybe there is some kind of autopilot and comm-panel firmware that needs to be updated now? We'll see what support has to say.

I can confirm that despite what very was limited in the description of the fixes in the 17.5 update that ALL Dynon SV devices need to be powered/online as each (comm, ap, servos etc) was pushed an update with the load of 17.5.

Honestly I wish Dynon was more transparent with what an update such as 17.5 fully contained. If this updates was to fix some crashes errors and voltage issues then I didn’t expect firmware updates to every Skyview Device during this update. A heads up that ALL devices be powered on would be great.

Bill, I suggest going into SV network and check if devices need individual updates since they were not online when you originally installed 17.5.

Thank Biggie. I will head out in the morning and see if I can figure that out. I'm cautious about screwing things up more. I should probably read a lot more about how these parts interact. Your recommendation is spot on. What ever I did by updating with them off has to be reset.
