RV-12 54-hours, Dynon D-180.. I typically saw 4.0 to 4.1 GPH running the Rotax 912ULS at 5100-RPM. At the 'next' flight is showed only 3.3 GPH for the same speeds.
After verifying that the flow impeller was not fouled with debris or dirt, I experimented this morning in still air with different K-Factor settings. I had been using 96000 as suggested by other RV-12 users, but now 67000 seems to put the fuel flow where "it should be" - or always had been.
I am only a bit in the dark as WHY the change between flights. It works well now and the K-factor is about where Dynon suggested it as a starting point, but the WHY factor and the sudden change is what confuses me. The only other external factor is colder weather but that's a remote possibility.
