I have a D10A was a D10 sent back for upgrade with Emer. back up Battery. My Question is how can I charge the battery, I have not started the install yet but see the battery is dead.

I have removed it and see its16.8 volts/ 1800mAh date on the battery is 3/4/04 and checked 5/25/05 when upgraded to the D10A.

What type of battery is it Lipo, Nimah, Nacad??? Any help would be appreciated!

You cannot charge the battery yourself. It's a Lithium Ion that has a protection circuit built in.

To charge it, put it in the unit, and apply 10-30 volts to the EFIS. The EFIS will charge it while it's on, and will take 10-20 hours for a completely dead battery. There's no other safe way to charge it but by powering the EFIS.
