CHT EGT Probes

Hello
Can you tell me if it's possible to cut the probe wire egt and cht and use sub-d connectors for connecting the wire extention

Yes, I've done just that in the past but if the brown thermocouple wires are long enough I just run them through the firewall & make a single connection to the probes.
What is the situation with your plane that needs a dsub ? :)

I have put connexions on all wires (Alternator, Gps antennas) for remove the engine and engine mount quickly for work  on rear easily
The EGT and CHT connections are very hard to remove and are very large

You can do this, but you can't have any temperature change across the non-thermocouple material (the dsub connectors) junction or else you'll end up with innacurate EGTs and CHTs. So basically, don't use dsub connections across your firewall.

All my Dsub (femelle and plug) is on my engine mount (as you can see in the picture for gps antenna). I think that temperature it's the same for femelle and plug. Is it correct?
I must cut the probe wire at differents length (cylinder front and rear): Is not a problem?

Electrically, cutting the wires of the CHT or EGT sensor to a different length is not a problem.

It will be challenging to terminate them correctly given the shield and the small diameter of the wire inside.

All my Dsub (femelle and plug) is on my engine mount (as you can see in the picture for gps antenna). I think that temperature it's the same for femelle and plug. Is it correct?
