:-?How would one monitor a non powered circuit to ground and monitor through the EMS? Would be monitoring for a break in the circuit. Thanks

Is this what you are referring to...
(While not required, you may install a 4.7 - 5.3k ohm resistor across the AP Disengage/CWS
button. This allows SkyView to detect a break in this circuitry and alert the pilot if this resistor is
present in the installation.)?

A switch to ground can already be monitored as a contact in the SkyView EMS function. If it's connected to ground it shows closed, if it's not it shows open. This could be a switch, or could be an actual wire that gets physically broken.

This works for a switch. This does not always work if what you are connected to is some complex load that can do weird things when disconnected.

We need more information about exactly what you are trying to monitor. Are you trying to indicate when a breaker that powers something pops, when a physical wire gets broken, or ???

I need to monitor the spar pin circuit in an RV12. Ground at end to fuseage, through 2 magnetic switches, then loose end to avioncs bay not hooked up yet. If a spar pin is not in proper position, the circuit is broken and want it to alarm on Skyview. Need Skyview to see that ground path is broken. I suppose technically I have no circuit because the Skyview end is not hooked up yet. I need to know where to put it.

We did similar on our RV-12. See 'Contacts' in the SkyView Installation Manual (Rev N Page 7-51).

On the screen we have a 'Spar' widget that is green for 'in' and red for 'out'.
