Communication interference by D10

I acquired an airplane in 2021 which had a D10 installed as original equipment in the panel, the airplane was built in 2004. Since last fall 2024 the D10 has emitted a loud interference into the radio/intercom, which when cut out by squelching, rendered communication impossible. The problem was traced on the bench, to the D10. When a meter long wire was connected to pin 12 or 23 of the DB25 connector, the signal appeared into a bench mounted receiver. Those pins connect to the magnetometer. As the D10 is no longer supported by the maker, and its replacement, D10A, is also not supported I must replace the complete panel or find a used D10A to return to service. That is when I found this site where a D10A w/battery and magnetometer was found and purchased. When it arrives, I will let you know how it turns out.

Well, it looks like I will not be able to give you an update as I have been SCAMMED by GODMAN57@PROTONMAIL.COM. Beware of all addresses with @protonman.com as I have seen others on this forum. Until I can find another D10A or rebuild my panel, I am in limbo. Money was exchange via PayPal using ''family and friends'' and it turns out that your transfer is not insured. So beware of anyone suggesting to use this way to proceed. Was I not to trust a fellow pilot?
