Compatible GPS data

I have a Garmin GPS 35 that outputs $GPRMC and $GPGGA strings but does not output either $GPBOD or $GPAPB.  Will it work with the D-10A.  I'm not that interested in the HSI/steerpoint functions.  When you release your autopilot I'll change my mind.  But for now, I mainly want TAS and winds aloft.  Thanks in advance.

If it does receive GPRMB (you didn't mention, but it's a common one), then you'll basically get what you're looking for, minus a correct course direction on the HSI. See this page on the wiki for the details.
