Computer setup of screens and settings.

After setting up my Skyview system, and re-setting it up many times. My wish is for a software on my PC to setup all the screens. From ems settings and layout in the three sized screens to all your speed settings, aircraft etc. Now you would save it to the thumb drive and load it onto the Skyview. If you want to make a change you can do it on the computer or the skyview itself.

This has been discussed before. I think it's a great idea as the EMS screens are completely customizable. But until someone comes up with an application to read the EMS file and allow interactive modification on a computer we're stuck with SV editor or hand coding. :-/ See here:

The good news is that once you have a screen layout that you like you can export it to the thumb drive for safe keeping. The other good news is that the EMS pin assignments are similar from one installation to the next so you could probably copy someones layout (20%, 40% or 100%) that you like and adapt it to your installation fairly painlessly.

Until something better comes up it may be worthwhile starting a collection of layouts with associated EMS layout files for sharing.
