Since running 11, I notice that the gal's audio Warnings and Cautions are back after start-up.  We used to have that before, but I believe V.10 (or one of the updates) inhibited that.  Now, it's back.

Also, when doing Data Downloads - which I do after every flight - I now get THREE files: Data, Black Box, and a new small file called ALERT_DATA.  It's a csv file like the others.

Only one flight with V11 here, but I had 2 parts to my user data file on a 1 hour flight :-[. I know the problem existed before (never had it previously), but thought it had been fixed..?

Also - another problem that I did not previously have, but was aware of.  I was flying in pretty darn calm morning air and had a lot more trim adjustment requests than I've ever had in the past.

Bob - Check and see if your SETUP MENU > EMS SETUP > ENGINE INFORMATION > INHIBIT ENGINE ALERTS AT BOOT is still set to yes. What exact alerts are you hearing?

Jon - The trim adjustment is now a little bit more accurate than it was, and so it should do a better job of coaching you to an in-trim condition when you disconnect the AP. A few thoughts though: when you adjust, give it just a bit of trim, then give it a few seconds to see if the annunciation subsides. Also, if you're getting a momentary annunciation especially when in turbulence, you can pretty well ignore it. When it sticks on, then the aircraft is actually out of trim for the current AP and aircraft configuration.

I am also getting EMS alarms (oil and fuel pressure) on boot where I did not before on three Skyview systems. This happened with the move to Ver 11. All are set to inhibit engine alerts at boot.

EMS Inhibit Engine Alerts at Boot is selected YES (s it was before ver 11 upgrade.)

Still getting the Alerts.

Caution, Caution, Warning - which are, I think - since I don't look at them anymore - are for No Xpdr (since I haven't turned on Avionics Pwr yet), and for Autopilot (same story), and for Low Oil Pressure (since I haven't started the engine yet.)

I'll check exactly next time. I think I get them during the shutdown sequence also (that would be normal - I think.)

This is definitely something in the Ver 11 package.

Are you getting the alerts the moment you boot? Or a few seconds after? Or a few minutes? If you can pull a diagnostics log after booting and seeing the behavior, that would help us see what you're seeing.

I get the same error- I am in a pre-flight mode- aka before start mode and receive transponder, other display and autopilot errors, all before even starting the engine, (this pretty much comes on right at bootup until engine start) once I start up they all go away. Inhibit at startup is "yes".

So we haven't had any luck reproducing this issue here so far.

Note that the inhibit alerts setting ONLY affects engine-based alerts. Other areas of the system that aren't powered up, are disconnected at power-up, or are otherwise aren't working or miconfigured will throw alerts within a few seconds of the system booting. So for any of you that are seeing engine alerts immediately at boot, can you power up your system, get said alerts, power down, repeat that a couple of times, and then pull dynon diagnostics log? You can get that to us via http://dynonavionics.com/docs/upload.html. Please include a link to this thread and the words "case 170437" in the message field of the upload tool. Thanks!

Although I see "low oil pressure" in the ALERT file, I do not recall seeing it on my screen. My other alerts fall under your explanation of being powered off and not EMS related. I thought suppress alerts was everything, so I appreciate the clarification.

We do technically suppress ALL audio alerts for just a few seconds (I think it's 5) after the system comes up, but that's basically just to let everything sync up. So after you hear the "Dynon Avionics" audio, you shouldn't hear anything else for a few more seconds. But after that, everything's enabled again, except for EMS alerts if you have the inhibit option set, in which case just EMS audio alerts are suppressed for a further few minutes.
