We are a gliding club and need a better means of warning our pilots when exceeding the CHT cooldown rate during descent. Could you not include this function to our EMS120 since we really have all the sensing information ? Cracked cylinders are expensive.

Shock cooling alarms are part of our next firmware update that will be released in a few days. It lets you set a degrees per minute rate and if the cylinder cools off faster than that you get an alarm.

You can use the money you save on cylinders to buy more Dynon equipment :)

I am more than impressed with your company and especially your people and response. This update will help us immeasureably to protect our engines and allow our pilots to keep their heads up in our busy skies, doing as many as 6000 tows per year.
