I have rewired my airplane from  having one avionics switch to having a switch for each device including one switch devoted to the D-10.  When I turn it on, it takes from 8 to 10 seconds to light up.  I don't remember it doing this before, although it may have been doing it all along,  Is this normal?

Thanks

Definitely not normal. It should light up almost immediately. Look at the clock or any timer that counts up/down. Is it moving slower than real time? In any case, if the unit is getting 10-30V as soon as the switch is thrown (confirm this), this sounds like a hardware problem that you'd need to work with our tech support on to get fixed.
