D-100 heading problems

Recently did a wet compass swing and a D-100 compass alignment as per the installation manual. By not having the correct heading information the winds aloft

are inaccurate. Today while flying the winds aloft were off by 40 knots. I went into the setup menu and aligned the D-100 to match the wet compass and the Dynon D-3.

The heading changed by 20 degrees and the wind read out looked good. After entering the pattern and making a 180 degree turn the heading was off again by about 25

degrees. Any ideas on why this is happening? I do have the EDC-D10A installed.

Thanks

I might have found the problem. I suspect that the shoulder harness cable for the right seat runs only a few inches from the EDC-10A. It is not stainless steel, checked the magnetic field of the cable and it is noticeable. I moved it over to the left side of the fuselage and the heading changed up to seven degrees when I powered up the system. I'll test fly it this week to see if it improves inflight.
