Hello... I'm putting in a Gemini ADI as backup for my D-100.

The Gemini will accept a GPS input for its DG, but I'm curious if i can output the track from the D-100 so that they are both magnetic.

I'm also considering not wiring the GPS feed and manually slewing the ADI to match the D-100 tape.

Thanks.

You'd have to ask TruTrak whether there are any performance reasons that require that the ADI receive GPS. It may. Also, GPS track information can be in either magnetic or true. In SkyView, for example, track information is magnetic, so that in a no-wind condition, heading matches track. Again, not sure which one the ADI uses for their display. I don't think that ADI can receive the D100's format. Also, know that the D100 outputs magnetic heading, not GPS track, so that's not quite what the ADI is looking ofr. Though the D100 can receive GPS track information from external GPSes for use in some of its features (computing winds, fuel comptuer, etc), GPS track is not rebroadcast out of the D100's serial port.
