Does the D-10A tend to go out of calibration over time and need to be refreshed? I didn't fly much for several months and had to reset the vertical. Then lately I see the Baro is out of whack and reads 30-40' off. Normal?

What do you mean by "reset the vertical"?

Altitude should stabilize to about same place (when baro is set correctly for the location) once the device has warmed up to a stable temperature (usually 10-15 minutes).

What I meant was I had to reset the centerline vertically on the artificial horizon. At normal cruise it was no longer centered.

If just a minor adjustment (a degree or two), and it's stable from here forward, then that's acceptable. But if you're having to adjust things often, then, that probably ought to come back for a look.

I recalibrated the vertical and it seems to be holding. But I checked the barometer and when set per AWOS reads high by 40 feet.

SETUP > ALTADJ will fix that, but again, you shouldn't have to touch it but once to dial in the offset permanently (wait until the unit's been on for a bit, say, 15 minutes, before adjusting this)

Can't seem to find that adjustment on the unit or in the manual......?

You have to press MORE once you're in setup until you get to the page with that option.
