I have a continental 0-200A and I have a Dynon EMS D10 with the latest software version. My oil temperature fluctuates over a 20 degree span during cruise flight. All other engine indicators are normal and steady. I do not believe the oil temp is actually doing this. Any ideas of things to check?

Almost guarenteed to be an insufficent ground between the engine and the rest of the electrical system. Try increasing the load while in flight (lights, pitot heat, TX on the radio, etc) and it is likely your oil temp will go up. The sensor is more sensitive to ground issues when hot, so make sure you do this in flight or at least after landing. The engine must be running as the offending current comes from the alternator.

I had this problem. I replaced the probe with one of the 2-wire probes Dynon supports. I got the UMA 1B3, but there are others. The UMA probe is of excellent construction.

It works great now, but there was a calibration error in the D-100 software. Dynon fixed that but I don't know if it was a general release or if I am the only one on the planet with the fix. I am running 5.6.RC1.
