Have a D10A that I bought years ago (well ahead of needing it!). It's been updated this year to the most recent software and has a remote compass; all worked fine using my 'roll your own' harness (which was before I rediscovered the Dynon harness!). With all the AP problems I see here these days, wondering if anyone is still using that unit with success vs upgrading prior to building either into the a/c project? Thx.

So the D10A and D180 are identical in their autopilot capability (and almost identical to SkyView), so that's one bit of info. The other bit of info is that though you'll see some reports of AP issues, realize that we have literally thousands of installed autopilots out there, most that work really well for our customers. Anyway, I don't want to pretend that our AP flies every airplane perfectly out of the box, but, forum reports can tend to paint an inaccurate picture (ie, a higher percentage of people that post about their AP performance here come from the small subset of customers that are trying to solve a technical problem in in the first place.
