I installed my D100 about a month ago. I read and re read the installation manual. I found that it was easy to install and update the current firmware using the harness plugged into my desk top computer. Also installing the D100 in my Long-EZ was also a snap with the slide in tray and harness. I re read the installation manual and pinned the OAT wires in the sub-d socket, and then powered it up. Everything worked!
I then took it outside and ran the set up procedures in the manual and all went well. I went for a flight and was very impressed with the heading; it was within 3 degrees of my GPS. Did I mention that I read the installation and flight operation manual several times and it covers everything you need to know to get up and running. Setting bugs to changing the screen layout.
I guess my point is that I see a lot of questions that are answered in the manuals, just read it all the way through. several times. When it come to the HSI and Glide slope by all means we do need to know which GPS will power the D100, ask away.
Overall everything is straight forward. Thanks Dynon for a great product.
