In my D100 I can't see the winds aloft arrow. I have the Efis attached to a GPS from EMS. I can see the TAS, OAT and in HSI page, I can see the GPS connected, so I don't know what it doesn't display the winds.
Thank you

I have the same problem, we have checked the clutter menu and it's not "decluttered". Any other thoughts?

We also have the AOA, G-force, and OAT/DA widgets enabled on our D100, do any of them share the same real estate on-screen?

So for winds you have to have actual OAT, GPS position, and magnetic heading all working. I think mag heading needs to be calibrated too. Then, it should just work, subject to it not being decluttered.

If you have CDI+GS enabled, then the left INFO item won't work, but that the only feature overlap that I think we have there.

Oh, the 1/3 page EFIS display on the D100/D180 declutters some things that just won't fit. So make sure you're using the 2/3 EFIS or full screen EFIS to troubleshoot.

Huh - I am lost.
We have all the things (Dynon OAT - very accurate, GPS Garmin 296 with latest software).
The compass is calibrated accurately.

Does the accuracy of the compass matter just to get it showing on screen?? Despite it being far from all ferrous metal objects, it gave some trouble with the calibration on a certain heading.

The D100 is being shown on full screen.

I was expecting the wind vector to just show up on the bottom right .... although it sounds like it can be a bit iffy when the compass wanders off calibration.

No, the accuracy of the compass doens't matter. If the calibration isn't ideal, the winds arrow will just be really wrong, as you said. I can't figure out what we're missing here, but obviously we are. What product(s) of ours do you have connected? Are you able to see the GPS information from the Garmin on the HSI page?

Ok, compass isnt the culprit then. We have the D100 and D120, and of course Garmin 296, and the network on the D100 shows two (2) devices connected.

I will check the HSI, I left the GPS format set to Automatic, maybe that is where we are going wrong??

On the Dynon side that's OK, but if you're not getting valid GPS over to the D100, that could cause this. What do you have the NMEA settings on the 296 set to?

That's fixed it. We set all the instruments to NMEA + Bauld 9600 and it seems to have done the trick. Thanks for your help!

Incidentally, our wind arrow seems to be very accurate - so that's great news too! Thanks Dynon!
