I have a basic HDX VFR panel in my RV-14A...one EFIS and no mechanical back-up instruments. I am looking at a used D10A mostly to provide Indicated Airspeed and attitude. I could go with one of the many less expensive options out there but I think the D10A will give more functionality. I am reading the user and install manual and it is a bit tough to follow. What has me the most confused is the DSAB connection. I think it will feed over data from the EFIS/EMS like engine info and airspeed/attitude but will default to it internal data if the primary goes off-line. Is that correct? Are there better options out there rather than a used D10A for around $1000 (2006 mfg with latest SW update)
