D10A Display Flickers in dimmed setting

When the D10A intensity is dimmed during night flights, the display flickers bright and dim rapidly. This occurs on about the three lowest settings. Increasing the intensity eliminates the flickering, but the display brightness is uncomfortably too high. I have been flying an RV-7 with the D10A for two years now and thought this was normal until I flew in a friends RV-7 -- NO flickering whatsoever occurred with his D10A. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

It shouldn't do that. Sounds like a hardware issue. I think I remember this as an issue from many, many years ago- do you have one of the first D10A's from 2004?

Give us a call or an email and we can get it fixed.

Thank you! I won't have access to the plane until mid-December (in the paint shop) and will call next week to get an RMA number.
