D10A firmware updates

Just out of curiosity...........I have updated my D10A twice with my new superfast laptop. Because the laptop does not have an RS232 port I purchased a USB to RS232 convertor.

I have had no problems but it does seems to take a very long time (approx 30 minutes).
Is this normal or am I missing something?

I have tried resetting port speeds etc but no significant change. I therefore generally no longer backup the last config as reading the memory blocks takes forever.

I have had similar experiences... I do a backup first so it takes almost an hour. Definitely worth it though, considering the latest additions :-D

Unfortunately the USB to Serial converters tend to be pretty slow and we haven't totally figured out why. It's not a processor speed issue.

In any case, seeing 10-20 minute load times using a converter is pretty normal.
