This sounds like you are reading the STC install manual?
3.6 in that manual is the D10A battery.
We haven't had any revisions since it was issued, but if yours stops at section 3.8 then there's something wrong. The manual PDF should be 34 pages long and you can get a fresh copy at the EAA's page. :
