Hi, I've a problem with a D10a that won't connect to the EDC10A. Checked connections
and are all OK. The D10A had a very old firmware (2.something). I don't know if they
ever worked together, this is a RV6 rebuild.
The PC upgrade program can not see the
EDC10A either. I upgraded the firmware in the D10A, ever hopeful! But still no success.
One odd thing I did see is the wire from the D10A to the EDC10A that carries the positive
currant(pin 6 EDC10A end) is reading 16.75V. The instalation manual is suggesting it
should be about 12V. Is this a problem?
Any ideas most welcome.

If they are very far apart in firmware version, that can be an issue in terms of getting them to update together, but it will usually still see it. You might give our support team a call at 425-402-0433: we have other options - such as the ability to update them here. The 16V reading is normal / expected.

Thanks for the feedback. The positive I take from this is that the D10A is OK, not at fault.
I mentioned this aircraft is being rebuilt, it was flipped - badly. So it is possible the EDC10A is damaged. I will continue in this vain and when I'm sure, I will replace it. A more convenient solution on this side of the 'pond'.
Thanks again for the help.
