D10A to Garmin 327

I have connectd the two wires, serial and ground to the 327. Set the 327 to Icarus and the D10A to format 4. The 327 still reads Pressure Altitude -----. Even took a flight and called the tower to confirm...no mode 'C'...mode 'A' works fine. I read that maybe the ground should be disconnected ?....Help, it's getting frustrating.

Chris,
We've got lots and lots of customers using this, so it does work.

First, no need to go for a flight. As you've seen, the 327 does display the altitude on the front, and if it's not displaying, it's not getting it.

All we can really suggest is to double check everything. Format 4 on the Dynon and Icarus is correct on the 327. Is there any other setting in the 327 that tells it to use serial over parallel? Then I'd just re-check wiring.

We can clearly check out the EFIS here if needed, but we do check the functionality before it leaves here so it would be very rare to have a problem there.

Thanks for your advice, I'll recheck again, then get into the wiring if The problem persists.
