Hello,

So, my partner and I are going to replace our AI with Either The D10A or another manufacturer of a digital AI or EFIS.

The ONLY thing stopping me from wanting the D10A is that the small white "airplane" (similar to a Flight Path symbol on common EFIS displays) is too small to teach by...

Even when we de-clutter the screen on the D10A in the other Piper Cherokee that is installed to make the attitude symbol bigger.. I cannot justify this becoming a replacement for the attitude indicator, yet.

Ultimately, I have heard that @dynon avionics is pretty responsive on here and/or someone may be able to help out.  I am looking to change the symbol on the D10A  to that of the D2 screen's black "pitch/bank bars".   This way the pitch and bank would be noticeable at a glance, more easily, as traditional EFIS systems are.  It would be:

Larger
More contrast
More similar to the students future environment
I have been flight instructing for about 3 years and am a airline pilot who would like to teach my students with a similar UI to that of our aircraft.  (like the D2 display).  Also, I know of a few flight schools that use the D100 and would benefit from teaching students (bound for the airlines) to fly off of the pitch/bank bars rather than the white attitude indicator (that is in our EFIS, at least, the flight path indicator).  Correct me if I am wrong, but I cannot find where the white attitude indicator is in fact a flight path indicator.

P.S. I think I've done my research and still have not found any other forum posts that can help, settings, or upgrades to help.  If not, let me know.

Thanks!

As you've seen with the D2 and SkyView symbologies, we have indeed evolved our displays over the years. That said, there isn't a way to change the EFIS-D10A's airplane symbol.
