Don't have a metal panel.  Can the white and black (very short) wire, out of the premade cable be tied to the same ground as the main ground wire?
Don't understand the paragraph that describes what the yellow with green stripe wire is or does.  Help.....
Is a 3 amp breaker too large for the power source.  I happen to have one and can't find a 2 amp locally.
Finally, I mounted the remote compass away from most everything but the cable has to run along side some antenna cables - problem??
THANKS!

Yes, the black/white wire can go to the same ground.

The yellow/green wire is basically a second connection to pin 22 that allows you to connect a portable GPS without having to touch the PC serial connector.

The EFIS doesn't care about how big the breaker is, per-se. Remember breakers primarily protect wires, not devices. If the device or wiring were to fail short, you want the fuse/breaker to go before the wire burns. A 3A breaker or fuse should be fine, but make sure it's within the allowance of the wiring run you have.

You can pull up the HSI page, which will show course guidance from the GPS if you connect it. You can also overlay the CDI and GPS track information on the D10A's PFD page as well. But, from a safety perspective, if GPS ground speed is available, it will be used instead of IAS as an aiding source that is used to determine attitude (artificial horizon). In other words, connecting GPS gives the attitude indicator redundancy if IAS should go away for some reason (broken pitot line / iced up or plugged up pitot)
