I have bought my D10A primarily as an advanced CDI. Having SL30, ability to handle its serial output greatly simplifies the wiring. As I could not install a remote compass, I would really appreciate a simple CDI/GS display without ground track. Right now, the CDI points anywhere but straight up when flying direct to VOR. With all the extra functionality the D10A is a great backup to my primary instruments.
While a simple CDI/GS screen is a software function, having second (or even 3rd) serial connection for the GPS would make this a dream unit! I suggest you somehow get it incorporated and release a D10B unit. I will upgrade.

I'm afraid you might be the sole customer for such a product. Non-HSI CDIs suffer from a really core issue, which is that you need to mentally rotate everything. When you overlay a CDI on a DG, which is all an HSI is, everything becomes MUCH more easily to visualize. To intercept a course, you fly towards it - as the needle centers, you turn toward your course.

Having the remote compass is ideal for best magnetic heading performance. But, if you haven't calibrated the internal sensors, you're guaranteed an HSI that doesn't make sense (because your magnetic heading won't be anywhere near correct)
