D120 Fuel Computer - Fuel used & remaining wrong

Hi all,

First post to the board.

I have been running a D100 and D120 for about 3 years. This spring I installed the RedCube fuel flow sensor, and I have most likely configured something incorrectly or not at all.

When I fill the (single) tank up, I hit 'FILL' on the D120 Fuel menu. The fuel level sensor reads 22 Gallons. However, the Fuel computer display reads 0 for gallons remaining, and 0 for fuel used. As I fly, these numbers decrement into the negatives. IE, The gallons remaining will read -4.5 and gallons used will be -4.5 also.

I did the fuel level sensor calibration when I first installed the D120 several years ago. The fuel flow sensor was NOT installed at that time.

The only configuration I did when adding the fuel flow sensor was to configure the sensor type, and the K value.

I read through that portion of the manual, and do not see any extra steps I need to go through. It seems like I have missed something.

If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated!

Page 7-2 of the D120 pilot's guide tells you how to use the fuel computer. You need to reset the fuel on board every time you add fuel so that it can keep track of how much of this you have burned.

OK - I think I follow you.

What I have been doing after filling the tank:
EMS > FUEL > FULL

If I read the manual correctly (section 7.2), I need to go and tell it what the FULL value is, using:
EMS > SETUP > FUEL > FULL VALUE >

Please confirm I am on the right track. I'm guessing that the FULL VALUE is currently set to 0...
