D180 Altimeter seems to be out of calibration

Our field elevation is 440 feet. When I landed yesterday, before I shut the engine off, the altimeter was showing about 550 feet. I double checked the ATIS and the barometer setting and It was correct.

I went back today, with the aircraft in the hangar, I noticed when I turn on the power, the altimeter reads 480', 470', 460', then settled at 450'. Maybe this "warm-up" is normal and I never see it because on engine, start the D180 always starts on the engine screen.

Has anyone seen altimeter issues with their unit?

Thanks.

There are components that need to warm up - what you’re seeing is normal if it settles down later. The manual advises about this.
