I'm finishing up the installation of a FD-180. The plan is to fly off Phase I hours and remove an analog airspeed indicator and replace it with a D10A. I plan on paralleling the Pitot, Static and AOA inputs. Besides the obvious (Power, ground, Dsub a and b) what other connections should be made. Should the GPS feed be split to both units? What about the SL30 feed? I would like to have the harness installed to make a quick swap. I searched the forum and didn't get the information I need. Thanks

Most of those topics are covered thoroughly in our installation guides, which you can find here: http://www.dynonavionics.com/docs/support_documentation.html . Don't forget that you'll need the EDC-D10A remote compass installed and connected eventually.

You can hook up the GPS and SL30 to the FlightDEK-D180 per the manuals referenced above. Then, wire up the two DSAB wires as indicated as well. When our next firmware version is released in the next few weeks, the GPS and SL30 information will be able to be shared between the FlightDEK-D180 and the EFIS-D10A.
