D180 and GTX 327

Will the D180 talk to the GTX327 without an encoder?

Do I need the D180 Altitude Encoder Converter Option or something like an Ameri-King AK-450?

The D180 will talk direct to a 327 (or 328 or 330). All D180's have this output built in.

The AK-450 is an ELT. Not sure what that has to do with altitude encoders at all.

Sorry, typo there. I meant AK-350. But now that I know I don't need one, I can put that money towards an AK-450 ;D.
