D180 and PMAG

A quick search didn't really answer my question. I am running a D180 and in the midst of intalling PMAGs on my IO320.

Currently I am getting my RPM information from the P-leads on the magnetos. Can I use the P lead to get RPM information from the PMAGS as well or do I have to use their "Pin 6" output to do so?

If I have to use their "PIN 6" output, then are the resistors I currently have "in line" in my ignition switch necessary?

You have to use pin 6. The P lead on a PMAG doesn't pulse. You don't need any resistors when hooked to pin 6.
